For our first wedding anniversary, we embarked on a road trip that took us from Sacramento to San Francisco and then down the iconic Highway 1 to Los Angeles. It was a journey filled with breathtaking diversity, showcasing the best of California’s stunning landscapes and vibrant culture.
 
From the charm of old towns to the electric energy of cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles, the contrasts were captivating. The serenity of Yosemite and the rugged beauty of Big Sur offered peaceful interludes that felt like stepping into a postcard. Every turn along the way revealed something new, an endless tapestry of wonder waiting to be explored.
 
One of the highlights for me was finally crossing off a bucket list item: visiting Alcatraz. It was everything I hoped for and more—hauntingly beautiful, historically rich, and utterly fascinating. The stories and atmosphere left a lasting impression, and it’s an experience I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone venturing to San Francisco.
 
That trip wasn’t just a celebration of our anniversary but a celebration of discovery, adventure, and the simple joys of the open road.
