Maldives

Maldives is everything you would expect in a picture perfect idyllic place and more ! Awe inspiring beaches and beautiful sea life and crystal clear waters await you in this stunning paradise.

I have been many times over the years but never get tired of visiting the Maldives, having spent time here going around a vast array of islands with tour operators, my main love of travel is to explore but the Maldives does something to your inner soul that makes you stop and take notice, you forget about exploring and you just sit back relax and take it all in.

The Maldives is a breathtaking paradise made up of 26 coral atolls stretching across the equator. Within these atolls, you'll find around 1,200 islands—though only 200 are inhabited, and fewer than half of those are home to luxury resorts. These world-class resorts set a new standard for exceptional service, stunning accommodations, and exquisite cuisine, continuously elevating the travel experience year after year.

But the Maldives is more than just a place to unwind with a cocktail in hand—it offers an abundance of activities for every traveler. From wine tastings and rejuvenating hot stone massages to thrilling diving excursions, there's something for everyone. One of the most exhilarating experiences is the chance to encounter a majestic whale shark up close. For those who love the ocean, jet ski rentals and snorkeling gear make it easy to explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. My personal highlight was a group snorkeling tour, where we sailed 30 minutes offshore and swam alongside giant sea turtles and a dazzling array of tropical fish.

The most accessible Maldivian islands are those near the capital, Malé. Huraa offers a laid-back surfer vibe, Maafushi is known for its charming family-run guesthouses, and Fulidhoo is the perfect spot to learn how to dive.

For a truly unforgettable dining experience, consider visiting one of the Maldives' five undersea restaurants. These extraordinary venues feature glass ceilings that provide panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, allowing you to watch tropical fish swim by as you dine. I had the pleasure of dining at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island’s renowned undersea restaurant, located 16 feet below sea level—a once-in-a-lifetime experience I’ll never forget.

If you’re dreaming of a Maldivian escape, I can help you discover the best resorts and tailor the perfect travel experience. Contact me for expert recommendations on where to stay and what to explore in this island paradise.
